Ultrasound!

Got my ultrasound yesterday! and its gonna be a.....

BABY!

We had the doc put the gender in a sealed up envelope and we are going to open it on christmas. so everyone is just gonna have to wait a little longer.

Besides that everything looks good. baby is looking right on target with size and it is healthy and normal.

Auto Mechanics 101

yeah, I must have failed that class because final exam was this morning and i not do so well. Here's the story,

I am on my way to drop off Elijah at Mike and Amber since amber most graciously agreed to watch elijah while i go to classes since tony had to work. I am on the highway two minutes and the car starts shaking. Hmm the road is bumpy here. Now the whole car is shaking and bouncing and vibrating. Oh maaaann. I get off the highway and pull off to a side road.

Tire is pretty much shredded.

I call tony, who doesnt answer, he is at work. Then i call amber, tell her whats happened and she says she will meet me where i am, which is still fairly close to my house. In the meantime I cant figure out this whole car jack thing so I call the roadsidfe assistance people who say they will be there soon. Yay! Elijah and i wait.

Amber gets there and we assess the situation and decide to wait in her car. The nice man comes, changes my tire, looks at my donut hesistantly and puts it on. Thank you mister! dont worry, i am not driving far on this.

We start off, but amber does not. Her battery died! Luckily, I have jumper cables, but we are both unsure how to attach these stupid things. She calls mike to guide us through it, but my car isnt starting hers.
Another nice man happens to stop and has a big diesel truck. We attach the cables to his more powerful truck and ambers car comes back to life.

Hooray! Then I just had to finish my paper, which i was planning to do in the normally 45mins extra i have before class starts, but today i make it just before class is over, i huff and puff through the door as class is letting out, put my paper on the table and hurry away to get to my next class.

Now i am sitting in that class, learning about smallpox. But i have to leave a little early in order to stop by the daycare and get an application for next semester. Here's hoping!

Almost Winter winter. Its been pretty nice lately like 60s and some 70s, but its supposed to get chiillay. Tony decided we should do a little family picture while the trees were pretty, so an hour drive later, we got a few good ones to share

A nice man pulled over to take this picture for us. Apparently he felt sorry for our attempts to properly angle the camera on top of the car and get the timer to work. Elijah was puzzled at why the man was there, you can see it in his face.

Fall Adventures

We have a lot to talk about! the onset of fall, Halloween, Elijah, dinner, and more!

We got elijah a necktie. I figured he is getting old enough to dress somewhat properly for church. We are working (not) on tucking in his shirt.

Ahh, the sunday afternoon snooze.

Tony got a baby from the grocery store.

This is Elijah really getting into character for halloween. He was a tiger.

Usually, tigers would eat puppy dogs, but this was a nice one who shared his lollipop.

Tony was a HAZMAT person for halloween, which is good for taking out the trash

I made a meatloaf man for Halloween dinner, complete with a blood suit and orange mashed potatoes.

So I just got back from the old VA. I got to fly out on a last minute ticket to visit the fam for fall break! It was awesome except for the fact that the day before leaving I woke up sick with a small fever. I willed the fever away and took lots of vitamin C and got on a plane the next day with baby elijah. Elijah always travels pretty well so i didnt really have to worry about that. he sleeps then plays with whoever happens to be sitting behind us. He prefers peeking over the top of the chair and getting their attention, then peering in between the chairs and laughing. Its pretty cute.

But anyways in virginia I enjoyed laying around with a mixture of morning sickness nausea and head cold illness while I would occasionally yell out from the couch "wheres elijah?" and would hear a response like, "lizzie's room!" or "maaaahh!" (elijah himself responding) or the dreaded "*clank" in which i would realize someone left the bathroom door open and elijah was either lifting up the toilet lid and sticking his hand in the water or dropping toys into the bathtub.

But I still had energy for fun plans like going apple picking, a trip to the zoo where we found a Julie, and a trip to Busch Gardens where they have a Sesame Street! Elijah loves sesame street.

The whole week was complete with a Lizzie on top. you know, like a cherry. She was so funny with elijah. Sometimes she would try to kiss him, but a lot of the time she would just get angry when she found him playing with one of her toys. Her name for him is "Baby lij" (like baby lijah without the Uh on the end)

All in all it was a great week, the trip back was long but not bad. Unfortunately though upon my return my morning sickness nausea has inevitably (i was hoping it would start tapering off by now but nooo) escalated into full blown "Maybe if i eat this i will feel bet..t..euuuh blllleeeeeerrrcgjh." I had a nice talk with the toilet bowl last night.
oh well i give it three more weeks.

Looking Back... and foreshadowing...

Tony went to visit his family with Elijah while I sat at home and moped about being back in school.

and this was at costco. Cute huh?

Birthday fun!

It was so fun! Thanks everyone for his presents and cards!

Lonely lonely.

Tony and Elijah are in south dakota visiting fam this week and since I have recently started back at school, i am not. Yesterday I just ran some errands and then pitifully called my sister in law Amber to see if I could play at their house. It ended up being quite productive as I babysat brooklyn and tanner while mike and amber got to go on a froofy date consisting of salads and pedi's.
Brooklyn and i had decided to color for awhile when i suggested drawing a picture for her parents. "what does your dad like?"
"ummmm, dragons!"
"ok... we'll draw a dragon for him, what about your mom?"
"ummmm.... baby dragons!"

so we drew a picture of a big dragon breathing fire and a baby dragon not breathing fire because apparently fire scares baby dragons.
Then we watched Wall-e and when mike and amber got home brooklyn started a sushi restaurant and later, inevitably, both tanner and brooklyn ended up in only their underwear running around the living room.

All in all, a good first day with no baby lijah :(

Lots of new Videos!!!!!

Elijah has learned a few new things, he now points and waves on command(most of the time) He also makes his super excited face to make us laugh which we have a video of. Still not walking but climbs stairs well which is scary and just this week he learned how to get off the couch feet first instead of headfirst which has done wonders for his complexion.

Next we are going to build a treehouse.

Elijah Likes his new toybox, we still don't have a place for his toys though.

He might become a construction foreman, he was goodat yelling at me while I put the box together

Trouble making

Elijah is getting good at playing. He likes to slap the kitty cat and laugh and go sit next to the dog until the dog gets up and moves then he laughs and follows her to her next place of sitting. Right now we are at the library and he is crawling like a mad man and yelling to the point where both me and tony are going "SHHHhh shhhhh come back here! shhhh!"

And I cut tony's hair! Yes, me. I did it. Took the big scissors plunge in the back yard. I think it looks grood.

Internets

We have finally decided to take the time to go find a place with the interweb and sit and post a bloggula. Things have been good lately. Elijah is starting to learn things now. He has learned to point and mooch our food and he is starting to learn how to throw fits when we do not share our food with him. He refuses the cheerios we offer him and dramatically plops onto his butt and puts his head down while squinting as hard as he can while he does his fake cry. Oh well.



I am starting to teach him little baby sign language, hence the pointing. The sign for 'More' is pointing your finger into the palm of your other hand. Im sure he will catch on soon.



He is learning to dance.

And play the piano.

I would put more up now but it is super burning up in this coffee shop and i have to go grocery shopping!
