Elijah: The Snot

Elijah has had a bit of a cold the past two weeks or so, but just these past few days it has taken a turn for the worse. He's started this horrific sounding cough, you know, the phlegmy sounding kind, and his nose has turned into a snot faucet with no off switch. You can almost see the shiny stream coming from his nose.

He has been tired and cranky. Just now I was holding him and he was just yelling and crying so I put him on the floor to play with a toy but he fell asleep. When I try to wipe his nose, he does this sad pathetic little 'eeeeehhhhhhhn' sound and bats my hand away. I took him to the doctors yesterday and she said it was just a nasty cold but keep an eye on him because it could turn into something worse like RSV if it doesnt get better soon! yipes. And it doesnt help that I have some weird thing that is making me lose my voice. I feel fine physically, just a little sore throat, and tony says I sound like Rachael Ray.

Another thing that is contributing to the crankiness of baby lijah is the fact that he cut his first tooth!! This kid moves fast. Mom wanted me to get a picture of it but this is the best I could get.
