Sun Fuzzies

Here is our old apt. It was fine. While we lived there, tony redid the kitchen floors and the bathroom. It worked quite well for the year and a half we lived there, but one can only live in a basement for so long. Farewell old apt,

And helllooooo new place! It is only about a block and a half away, but we are out of the basement! Welcome back to the real world! Where you can lie in the warm sunlight that pours in through the windows. Where you are forced to wake up at 8am because it is too bright to stay asleep. Where you dont have to turn on the lights in the kitchen to make breakfast. Because there is natural light!

we are slowly finding a place for everything. I think we will fit into this place quite nicely even though its a bit smaller. (Plus did you see that AWESOME entertainment center? Thank you, as-is Ikea for the screamin deal) I will post some room by room pics of teh new place later.
Evie and elijah obvs. already like it here.

Also, more to come on THIS later...

Early in the morning

Not much happens. Except tuesdays and thursday I go to yoga at 730. Usually, by the time I get home it is almost 845 and opening the door I hear MAmA! and I see that tony and elijah are eating breakfast while Evie is playing on the floor.
This morning, I walked in to find the house still dark. I snuck back to the bedroom thinking Oo! I might get to go back to sleep for a bit! only to find this...

So I am resigned to sit on the couch and watch Price is Right until I hear stirring in the bedroom.

In other news, Elijah's favorite favorite new game to play is hide the whatever. Penny, tiny truck, he will hide it and make you find it. Where go? Where? Where is it?
My favorite is actually WHERE he is hiding this stuff.

Birthday week.

First, I would like to show you all the handy work of Tony.
He 'practiced' sleeping in it. I guess he was just too excited to wait ten more mins for bedtime. At one point in the video, you hear him make snoring noises. "huuuh shooo huh shooo"

AND we went to the state fair this week!! I love love love this stuff. The weird attractions, the funny pig races and all the worst food for you that you can eat. Here is a giant turkey leg.
And sharing an icee.
But as we expected, the favorite was the livestock. Elijah looves the animals. He ran from stall to stall like each time he was just discovering that there were goats there! or pigs! it was pretty funny.

or cows! I never realized how enormous and .... really big cows are.
We saw some pretty hefty pigs lining up for judging. At one point, I think elijah almost got herded into the judging barn. Look how delicious that looks.

When we saw the train go by, Elijah lost it. He ran after the train going, "CHOO CHOOOO! Chain! chain! (train) CHOO CHOOO" and he chased it for a good while. A little later, he got to actually ride it
And evie loves to look at herself, as do the rest of us. Ignore the creeper in the background.
Before returning this hat to our friend Will, Elijah felt it necessary to model it for a bit. He actually put it on himself and wore it around.

Another final birthday thing, Thank you everyone for the birthday cards a gifts! Its so fun checking the mail around birthday time and getting surprises. And thank you Kutters for the race car and book!! Elijah loves loves it. He picks it up and says "Shhk shhk" (shake shake) and watches it zoom around.

The Cake

So since elijah had a puke fest after eating too much of my birthday cake, I decided to downsize for his moment. I figured we still needed those messy cake face memories, but with less consuming of actual cake. So for his birthday, Elijah got a big Elmo cupcake! Which Tony ate most of...He thought blowing out candles was the COOLEST. Although he had a little help.

This is how he ate the cake for like twenty mins. Just poking and licking.

Until I showed him how to do it..

Tony is making him a racecar bed for his birthday!! It is so cool! And the front of it is a little storage box, how convenient! It will look awesome in the new apt!
Tony is so crafty.

Birthday Boy!

Oh my oh my, little baby Lijah is two years old today!! Its been a crazy crazy time and even at the most stressful frustrating times, he can still sneak in a smile and make us laugh. Right at this moment he keeps opening his musical birthday card from papa mickey and dancing and singing along with the winnie the pooh song.

I feel like I should tell you all that right now, he has a booger on his finger and he is showing it to me going, "buh guh, a buh guh.' then closing his hand, 'where buhguh?" gross little two year old.
Heres a cute old video when he was just over a year old at Halloween time.

He has developed an affinity for cheese as of late.

That darn number two is so hard to master on the fingers, but he tries.

How much is TOO much

We've been having fun around here lately. But Im trying to soak up all the school time I can. Not that I dont love playing with the babes, but it is nice to have a little time each week to go be around my peers as opposed to pee-ers of pants. tony. just kidding. Man, so many diaper changes, we only have two kids right? Sometimes it can be oh so stressful but its made up for with moments like these

That boy refuses to go lay down for a nap then inevitably I find him passed out on the couch in the late afternoon.
School has been going well so far. We are adjusting well to the schedule I think, a bit daunting at times, but satisfying to be in academia once more! Meanwhile, Evie is working on charming the world. We are thinking about put her on Americas Got Talent.

Tony's been saving money by working out at home.

We went to a farm to pick our own produce this week! Elijah had some fun in the tomatoes, but decidedly stayed in the van most of the time.
